Margaux‘s experience

University of Sherbrooke

The university has excellent facilities: infrastructure, cafeteria, classrooms and more.

There are also plenty of green spaces.

The quality of teaching is very high. The teachers are keen to ensure that we understand the concepts we are learning..

My advice is to start looking for accommodation as early as possible.

I recommend Canada, because it’s a great place to live.

The university is very supportive of students, and the courses are very interesting and enriching.

A Quebec health insurance card is issued to French students.

It can be used for medical appointments.

For stays of less than six months, a visitor’s visa is required.

Poutine Canadienne

There are buses all over Sherbrooke.

Thanks to our university student card, we can use the buses for free.

As for accommodation, there are university residences on campus, but it’s also possible to stay with private individuals in the city.

A wide range of sports are available at the university.

The necessary infrastructure is available for sports: swimming pool, gym, badminton, basketball, etc.

You can also join a number of associations.

There are various libraries where you can reserve study rooms.

The standard of living is higher than in France when it comes to food shopping (for similar or French products).
