The innovation and technology transfer center of the EIL Côte d’Opale: EIL’Lab

The EIL’Lab innovation and technology transfer center is a support structure for innovative R&D projects for companies. It provides its technical and technological resources, a space for hosting projects and the scientific, technical and educational skills of the specialized staff of the EIL Côte d’Opale and the supporting research laboratories. It allows the company to express its research potential and its capacity for innovation.

Operation
Projects are managed by a project team made up of teacher, researchers, expert research engineers for the scientific supervision part, engineers and technicians for the technical support.

Technical and technological collaborations are entrusted to 4th and 5th year engineering students for a period of 3 to 12 months depending on the requirement:

An Innovation and Design Project, which deals with an immediate and targeted innovation need, and managed by a group of final-year engineering students.
– An End-of-Studies Internship, which deals with a complete engineering project, carried out in a company.
A Technical Project that deals with a technical problem in an innovative way managed by a group of 4th year engineering students.
– An Assistant Engineer Internship, which deals with an issue at the level of a beginner engineer, carried out in a company.

Research collaborations are entrusted to one of our support laboratories according to their areas of expertise. They are carried out within the framework of either a CIFRE grant or an R&D contract, in the short, medium or long term depending on the needs.

Technical and technological resources
– Open space including desks and high-performance computers,
– Meeting and project review space,
– Room dedicated to Technical Projects and Innovation and Design Projects,
– Mechanics and metrology area,
– Work space in electronics, automation, mechanical machining and additive manufacturing,
– Space for design and modeling work,
– Space for embedded systems.

Terms
The support package for the realization of your projects includes:

– The provision of equipment,   hardware and software,
– The welcome of engineering students in a unit adapted to the good management of your projects,
– A scientific and technical supervision.
