Mobility programs enable students to study for a semester or a year in a partner institution.
For students, the acquisition of linguistic, intercultural, and professional skills promotes personal development and better integration into the job market.
To this end, EILCO has numerous partnerships around the world: Canada, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Spain, Finland, Hungary, Poland, etc.
Students can take advantage of the ERASMUS+ program, double degrees, BCI, and exchange agreements.
With the Erasmus+ program, students are often able to choose the courses they wish to take at their host university.

Exchange at Centria University of Applied Science at Kokkola (Finland)
I’m a student in my 3rd year of engineering studies, specializing in computer science, and I went on an Erasmus+ exchange semester in semester 9, for 16 weeks in Kokkola, a charming little town in the central region of Ostrobothnia.
I did my exchange at Centria University of Applied Science, specifically for the Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. I’m very satisfied with the quality of the teaching, as there are many examples of applications and case studies, and the professors were often attentive to the students’ needs.
Despite the current situation – the Coronavirus pandemic – the school has kept in touch with international students and we’ve been able to take advantage of several activities, including hikes and a trip to Lapland.
As far as housing accommodations were concerned, I shared the apartment found by the school with a Vietnamese girl and a Moroccan girl, which enabled me to develop my English.
Thanks to this mobility, I discovered a pleasant country and encountered many different cultures. It was a very enriching experience, as I was able to adapt and develop my knowledge and language skills. Rich in encounters and emotions, it was an unforgettable experience, and I never thought it would be so difficult to return. But it’s with a head full of memories that I’m coming back to reality!
This exchange has enriched me culturally and allowed me to discover the magnificent landscapes this country has to offer. Nature is the rhythm of Finnish daily life. Whether it’s snowing, raining, or windy, people go out for walks in the forest.

Université du Québec– Chicoutimi– Canada– UQAC
I have only one word for you: “GO!” From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. UQAC is a university with over 4,000 students, including 1,200 foreign students!
I really enjoyed myself there. The courses are often taught by professors and researchers who are well known in the area, and UQAC’s organization and resources make for a dynamic campus and a healthy, active learning atmosphere.
I think there are a lot of possibilities when you come to Chicoutimi. If you organize yourself well, you’ll be able to combine classes, personal work, and 8 hours of student work a week, as well as enjoying this incredible country with all your new friends, like I did!
Now that I’m back in France, five companies want me to join them. This program is a real springboard !

École Nationale des Sciences Appliquées– Marrakech– Maroc
I began my higher education in Morocco, at the École Nationale des Sciences Appliquées in Marrakech. But I always wanted to study abroad to complete my education.
I was lucky enough to be able to join the École d’Ingénieurs du Littoral Côte d’Opale as an exchange student to study for a double engineering degree in industrial engineering. As soon as I arrived, in my second year, I noticed that the training combines technical expertise, managerial skills, and community life, which enabled me to join the humanitarian aid office and work with local associations.
In my 3rd and final year, I participated in a work-study research program. I was therefore able to apply what I had learned in a practical way and benefit from real professional experience, thanks to which I landed my first job. The two years I spent at EIL Côte d’Opale were intense, not only in terms of learning, but also in terms of emotions and encounters.
I discovered a new culture and developed a new social network. This exchange was a real opportunity for my professional and personal development.

Exchange with École Technologie Supérieure (ETS) de Montréal– Canada
This exchange with the École technologie supérieure (ETS) in Montreal was a real opportunity. I wanted to perfect my skills in the fields of design and robotics. The school is very modern, with machinery that’s renewed year after year, and a dynamic, professional working atmosphere. Courses are divided into 1/3 lectures and 2/3 projects. ETS provides real-life production conditions for meaningful projects. A significant personal investment is required to succeed in this exchange.
Canadian life is also very enjoyable, and my encounters with Québécois and French people made this adventure a real success. Many trips across the country were organized, and I have many fond memories of them. Montreal is a dynamic city in all seasons, with many activities to offer.
ETS has a significant network of companies, enabling us to develop internationally as well. Many companies come to try to recruit students from within the school, so that they have the best people at the source.
This mobility enabled me to gain experience in the fields I wanted to perfect and guided my choices concerning my career plan.

Sundsvall Campus – MID Sweden University
The university has a very pleasant, modern setting. The courses are highly specialized, and you only have 8 hours of classes a week. But you have to work between 7 and 9 hours a day on your own, including Saturdays and Sundays.
The student association is very active, with activities every day, but if you want to take M2 courses, you’ll have to forget about going out, even on weekends!
As far as daily life is concerned, the city is very attractive, with a very quiet atmosphere. Swedes are all very civilized and respectful of nature. The cost of living may be higher than in France, but if you buy what you need, your budget will be equal to your spending in France.
Another positive point is that in Sweden everyone speaks English, so you’ll make enormous progress in English, just as if you were in an English-speaking country.

Exchange at Centria University of Applied Sciences at Kokkola – Finland
The university is one of the best in the country. It’s a university of applied sciences, equivalent to a polytechnic in France. The teaching is in line with our expectations, with lots of exercises and case studies. The main student association is COPSA. It’s very active, and right from the start we were entitled to several activities, including trips to Russia and Lapland.
Accommodation is provided by the school. The rent is relatively low, and I share my apartment with a Spanish girl and a Turkish girl. It’s a great way to improve your language skills.
Thanks to mobility, I’ve been able to meet people from different countries: China, Japan, Germany, the United States, etc.
Now, I want to travel even more! To discover the world and learn even more. That’s why I’m a bit disappointed that I was only able to go on a mobility trip in my third year.
But if I had to do it all over again, I’d do it again, because it’s an experience I’ll never forget.
