Mathias‘s experience

University of Rijeka

Most of the courses are in the form of seminars or projects, so there are few on-site classes, which gives you time to work from home and explore the city.

The professors are welcoming and attentive.

The school coordinator will provide you with all the necessary information and assist you with administrative procedures.

I advise starting the administrative procedures as early as possible.

There is an office where you can print documents for about 0.05 EUR.

For procedures at the police station, there is a website called REDOMAT where you can take a ticket for an appointment to avoid a long wait.

Having spent my semester in Croatia during winter, the weather was similar to that of Dunkirk.

There was a lot of wind and rain (make sure to buy a sturdy umbrella locally!).

The prices of products are quite similar to those found in France.

The locals are very friendly.

There are many shops nearby with products that can also be found in France.

There are numerous bus lines allowing you to go anywhere in the city and even to the outskirts.

The dormitories are located near the different faculties, the cafeteria is open most of the day, and the bus stops are nearby.
